Random Playlist

Right now most of my posts on here are rather random....I just hear a song I like and include it.  So if you start to listen to a song and think you are not digging it please take the time to listen to the rest of my song suggestions because I have included many different sounds.

Also, take the time to listen to a song more than once, or just play it in the background...something may stand out differently the second time around.

I could listen to a song once without any connection but then later depending on my mood or current thoughts I meet it at a much deeper level.

I am into a relaxing sound currently, I am in need.

I also enjoy music with a bubbly or eclectic sound.

Please comment---share the love
~Reyne

Gregory & the Hawk---“Wild West”
I love them.
I find myself daydreaming...isolated.....beautiful.

Matt & Kim---“Daylight”
FUN song.  :-)

William Fitzsimmons---“Find It In Me”
Captivating.
Listen to the entire song at least once through, I connect deeply with the emotion evoked through these lyrics beautiful vocals.

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros---“Home”
I am in love with these lyrics.

[Her:]
Alabama, Arkansas,
I do love my ma and pa,
Not the way that I do love you.

[Him:]
Holy, Moley, me, oh my,
You're the apple of my eye,
Girl I've never loved one like you.

[Her:]
Man oh man you're my best friend,
I scream it to the nothingness,
There ain't nothing that I need.

[Him:]
Well, hot and heavy, pumpkin pie,
Chocolate candy, Jesus Christ,
Ain't nothing please me more than you.

[Both:]
Ahh Home. Let me come home
Home is wherever I'm with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is wherever I'm with you.

La, la, la, la, take me home.
Mother, I'm coming home.

[Him:]
I'll follow you into the park,
Through the jungle through the dark,
Girl I never loved one like you.

[Her:]
Moats and boats and waterfalls,
Alley-ways and pay phone calls,
I've been everywhere with you.

[Him:]
We laugh until we think we’ll die,
Barefoot on a summer night
Nothin’ new is sweeter than with you

[Her:]
And in the streets you run afree,
Like it's only you and me,
Geeze, you're something to see.

[Both:]
Ahh Home. Let me go home.
Home is wherever I'm with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is wherever I'm with you.

La, la, la, la, take me home.
Daddy, I'm coming home.

(Talking)
Him: Jade
Her: Alexander
Him: Do you remember that day you fell outta my window?
Her: I sure do, you came jumping out after me.
Him: Well, you fell on the concrete, nearly broke your ass, you were bleeding all over the place and I rushed you out to the hospital, you remember that?
Her: Yes I do.
Him: Well there's something I never told you about that night.
Her: What didn't you tell me?
Him: While you were sitting in the backseat smoking a cigarette you thought was gonna be your last, I was falling deep, deeply in love with you, and I never told you til just now.

[Both:]
Ahh Home. Let me go home.
Home is wherever I'm with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is where I'm alone with you.

[Him:]
Home. Let me come home.
Home is wherever I'm with you.

[Her:]
Ahh home. Yes I am ho-oh-ome.
Home is when I'm alone with you.

[Her:]
Alabama, Arkansas,
I do love my ma and pa...
Moats and boats and waterfalls,
Alley-ways and pay phone calls...

[Both:]
Ahh Home. Let me go home.
Home is wherever I'm with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is where I'm alone with you...

Sigur Ros---"Andvari"
Remember Me is a movie worth seeing at least once. Just trust me. You can hate me if you don't like it, but I think you find at least one thing to like. There are many relationships that are explored, it is very touching.
Well and even if you don't see the movie still listen to this song....

City & Colour---"Casey's Song"
Awesome acoustic song---I am addicted!

Lykke Li---"Little Bit"
I have been finding some really great love songs that are more creative and fun than the junk you normally hear on the radio.
EXPRESS IT.

Reyne's Car Playlist #1

I never fully finished this blog entry but its been sitting in my drafts just waiting to be listened to! Its mainly dedicated to Jack's Mannequin. Sorry if it feels all over the place. :)
Happy Listening!
~Reyne

I am not a fan of driving. I hold a great fear of semi trucks (I have been almost ran off the road more than once) I think my car is clearly invisible to them. Any sort of icy or snowy road also scares the daylights out of me. Panic attacks and sob fests come quickly when the first snowflake falls. Most likely this comes with my fear of NOT being in control...the thought of being helpless is terrifying. A part of life, beyond my control yes, but still one of my greatest fears. I would rather hold a snake, be trapped in a dark room, or bungee jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge.

That being said lets introduce my current playlist I have created. Since I moved I spend a lot more time in the car. My gym and boyfriend are located over 20 mins away. One comfort I have is singing in the car, much joy is brought to my ears as I drive to my various locations each day. I figured I could add excitements to my rides by creating some awesome driving mixes. I still live in the stone age with a cd player stereo rather than being able to directly plug in my ipod, so the playlists are cd length.

Here is current list of what I am listening to this week:

1. Spinning by Jacks Mannequin

Quick story about Jacks Mannequin, it was a side project of Andrew McMahon from Something Corporate. A lot of his music is entangled with his personal events, one being diagnosed with Leukemia.

I included the lyrics to this song below, I love the honesty in his music. Jacks Mannequin has become one of my latest obsessions, including Stacy Clark (who is featured in this song).  Unfortunately this song is not featured on his myspace but if you go to Grooveshark, you can search it and listen to it there! Please do because you don't know what you are missing!

I'm keeping quiet
Till there no more sirens
Lately it's hard to keep the hinges on
with all the noise
I found my words when there was no one talking
The room is spinning I have got no choice
be patient, I am getting to the point

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I found my way but until then,
I'm only spinning

I'm keeping quiet til the phone stops ringing
lately it's hard to disconnect
I just want something real
I found the words if I can just stop thinking
the room is spinning I have got no choice
be patient, I am getting to the point

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I found my way but until then,
I'm only spinning

Spin beneath the rooftop
Hold on
Wait until the room stops
Spinning

I can't remember when the earth turned slowly,
so I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place, but I can't stop this story
I found my way but in the end
we're only..

I can't forget when the earth turned slowly
so i just waited till the lights come on again
I lost my place, but I can't stop this story
I found my way but until then,
I'm only spinning

2. Swim by Jacks Mannequin
This one isn't officially a part of my mix but I like the message, and I wanted to share the video with you.  It fits my Jacks Mannequin obsession as of late :)

3. Into the Airwaves by Jacks Mannequin

4. Annie Use Your Telescope by Jacks Mannequin
Go to his myspace for the original (the original is more ethereal), but this one is really good too. This is a nice relaxing song, BEAUTIFUL!

5. 1901 by Phoenix
This one was feature on My New Year Playlist to listen you need to go there!

6. Unusual by Stacy Clark
I have mentioned this one before as well.  :)  Go to her myspace to listen!

7. All I Wanted by Paramore
The first time I heard this song...I was hooked. I heart them.
