I love listening to music while watching the rain drops hit my windshield before they are quickly wiped away. Each ripple in a puddle creates its own rhythm, natures' dance.
I am slowly trying to create the perfect rainy day music playlist, over time it will be changed but soon I will have created the one that fits just right.
I find the rain inspiring as well, a good time to read or write. Also to listen to music and just let your mind wander.
The time of the year makes a difference...Spring rain is most definitely less dreary than the cold winter rain.
Once Summer hits I look forward to that first pouring warm rain.
Until then this is what I have come up with, I was inspired by these songs during our last rainy day.
I created a grooveshark playlist as well go HERE.
1. "Heart Skipped A Beat" by The xx
2. "Boy With A Coin" by Iron & Wine
3. "Keep Breathing" by Ingrid Michaelson
Amazzzzing....
4. "Don't Lose Yourself" by Laura Viers
5. "Are We All Forgotten" by Paper Route
6. "Sightlines" by Rogue Wave
I am desperately in love with this band.

7. "Shooting the Moon" by Ok Go
8. "Slow Down" by Shawn McDonald
You also need to go to my Grooveshark playlist to hear this one.
9. "Poison & Wine" by The Civil Wars
This one is a MUST LISTEN!!! If you don't listen to any of the others at least take the time to hear this one!
I have just discovered this particular band and I am sure you will hear more! They also create music separately. It's wonderful. =)
10. "Palm Reader" by Third Eye Blind
For the record this band is one of my favorite bands. =]

Now LISTEN: close your eyes, take a deep breath, get energized, let it out, or just dance! Feel free to comment with any music encouragement yourself. =)

live and breathe playlist
I have created a playlist on Grooveshark for this particular post. It is easy to set up an account and you can just hit play. :) Search: live and breathe and then click the playlists tab, it should say by reynemw. Let me know if you have any problems. You can also search me in the people tab: reynemw and look at all of my playlists. I make one for every post.
1. Swimming With Dolphins—“Silhouettes”
4. Rocket To The Moon---"I'll Be Your Sunset"
I love any song that talks about sunsets :) Another fave is The Spill Canvas "Sunsets and Car Crashes" They are Beautiful!
5. One Republic--- "All The Right Moves"
I don't listen to One Republic often but they are growing on me. I love this video as well, and it has a very catchy sound.
Watch Video Here
6. MGMT---"Time to Pretend"
This song is the opening of 21, if you haven't seen it you need to! It makes you wanna just let go and go to VEGAS!!! :) So this video is fan made (clips of BBC planet earth, really awesome!) you can watch the original but it is a little odd. I saw the video before 21 and the video sort of turned me off to the song at first. I do love how original and fun MGMT is though!!
7. Stacy Clark--- "Unusual"
You need to go to my grooveshark playlist and listen to this or go to her MYSPACE and listen. She is so amazing!! I love her voice and her lyrics are incredible. She is worth a listen :)
8. Mutemath---"Progress"
Just listen to the words! Beautiful ambient sound, one of my life anthems. Mutemath has a way of hitting the spot. I do believe they are one of the most amazing bands of all time in my opinion. INCREDIBLE.
9. Shawn McDonald---"Captivated"
I heard this on the way to work this morning. I loved how it just made me feel happy and grateful. Shawn has a very mellow relaxing sound that is great to lean on after a stressful day.
10. Making April---"These Are The Nights"
I give credit to my sister Becca for this song! :) When you search for it, make sure you look for the acoustic version. I have the original on my grooveshark playlist but the original is worth checking out.
11. Switchfoot---"Always"
This band will always have a special place in my heart. I thought this one fit the feel of this playlist very well.
I hope you love this music as much as I do. Each one is just a suggestion and I understand if it doesn't sound the same to you as it does to me. I hope you have fallen in love with at least one song on here. :) ENJOY. Oh and don't forget to check me out at Grooveshark, and the name of this playlist is: Live and Breathe my user name is reynemw
1. Swimming With Dolphins—“Silhouettes”
Pretty vocals, fun dance beat, relaxing, wish I was on the beach but maybe this time of the year it makes me want to run in deep snow. :) This song also features Breanne Duren who is on tour with Owl City but you can search her on myspace.com, she has a very beautiful voice!
2. Silversun Pickups---“Lazy Eye”
Not a recent release but a good one. I remember the first time I heard this song, I saw this video. I was hooked from listen one.
3. The Used---“Blue and Yellow”
Very catchy, pretty awesome, and a great car song!
